Role Overview:
The Talent Set is excited to be working with one of our favourite higher education clients as they search for an Admissions Officer to support them for an exciting 3 month initial contract.
The Admissions Officer will support in a critical role in managing the full cycle of the admissions process, from enquiry through to enrolment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process domestic and international applications for various levels of study, ensuring compliance with institutional, regulatory, and quality standards.
2. Verify applicant documents, check qualifications and confirm identities.
3. Issue Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letters for eligible international applicants in line with visa requirements.
4. Deliver high-quality customer service via phone and email, addressing applicant queries with accurate and supportive guidance.
5. Build and maintain effective working relationships with academic staff and external partners, providing admissions-related support.
6. Coordinate applicant interviews and offer logistical and advisory support to applicants and interviewers, including any necessary adjustments.
7. Manage a personal caseload independently while supporting wider team goals and meeting key admissions deadlines.
8. Remain current with admissions policies, international qualifications, and relevant guidance from regulatory bodies such as UKCISA and UKVI.
9. Evaluate applicant fee status according to national guidelines and criteria.
10. Monitor application data and analyse trends to support recruitment targets, preparing reports for internal stakeholders.
11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in student databases and CRM systems to support reporting and compliance.
12. Represent the institution at recruitment and admissions events (e.g. open days, enrolment), offering advice and information to prospective students and their families.
13. Undertake additional tasks as required, contributing to the overall success of the admissions function through collaborative teamwork.
Person specification:
14. Must have CAS Issuance experience.
15. Able to hit the ground running and pick things up quickly.
16. Proficiency with IT tools, particularly MS Office and databases.
Whats on Offer:
17. A salary of £36, on a day rate for the successful candidate.
18. A flexible hybrid working pattern is on offer with 2-3 days per-week in the organisations Greenwich-based office.
