Seed of Light is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children & young persons, ensuring their well-being and development. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with care plans to meet the specific needs of each individual. Duties Provide direct support to children in various settings, including home and community environments. Assist with daily living activities, ensuring that individuals receive the care they need. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with other professionals and family members. Communicate effectively with children, families, and other stakeholders to foster positive relationships. Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments. Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during support sessions. Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their development. Requirements Previous experience working with children is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required. A genuine passion for supporting individuals in their personal growth and development.
