Job Overview:
McDermott, as part of the CCS Joint Venture, is executing a major EPC project for a 2 trains Lump Sum LNG project in Mozambique. This role is based in London but will require travelling to the JV Partner Saipem’s offices in Milan. The candidate will be part of the Integrated Task Force (ITF) team made up of personnel from the different JV Partners (SAIPEM and McDermott). The Integrated Task Force will undertake principal engineering deliverables to support other project functions as well as perform overall coordination of work both in the central project centre and supporting offices in other project locations in London, Milan and elsewhere. This role requires good technical skills and broad knowledge in I&C engineering for LNG Plant design and construction with specific focus on fibre optic. Good communications skills are essential.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Collection and verification of TELE/Security FO requirement and related project std
2. Collection/Verification of all others multidisciplinary(*) requirement by close interface with different referent people (Milan Operating Centre-MOC & London Operating Centre-LOC)
3. Automation, Instrumentation, Packages, Electrical, Corrosion etc.
4. Collect of all requirement from third parties by close interface with Interface manager and Client
5. Subsea, Area 4, main gate house etc
6. Overall FOC Block diagrams and relevant document issue and development
7. Management and preparation of Comment Sheet replies with Client
8. Definition of from/to, redundancy, segregation for every F.O. cable
9. Cable type definition
10. Other Material definition and list (Cabinets, Patch panels, patch cords, cable glands, FOC core size etc)
11. Preparation of a shared table, defining all battery limits in terms of F.O. supply / engineering / installation between all involved disciplines
12. Cable and Material MTO definition
13. Support to field engineering specialist for the cable Schedule document development and maintenance (for all FO)
14. Support to field engineering specialist for the Cable routing / 3D model (for cable trays, tranches, duct banks etc)
15. All FO split and core allocation
16. Support to field engineering specialist for F.O. Drum List preparation based on different Areas
17. Support for the FO cabinet purchase order
Essential Qualifications and Education:
18. Accredited engineering degree in Electrical or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
19. Preferably MEng degree
20. Preferable Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
21. Typically 15-20 years of control and instrumentation design engineering experience
22. Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and understanding of control systems and field instruments
23. Familiarity with current codes and standards
24. Awareness of current and new technologies and the detail design engineering process
25. Experience in petrochemical or related industries
26. Liaison with project management and other engineering departments within a project team
