Post Details – The opportunity has arisen for a Rehabilitation Instructor primarily based in the Craft and Design Centre. The individuals will work as part of a team, providing patient care and activity primarily in the area of Arts & Crafts within the setting of a busy activity centre. The successful candidates will be responsible for planning and implementing patients’ programmes within the centre and will assist the patients to engage in a wide range of art and creative based activities that both increases their understanding of the necessary skills and knowledge and provides the opportunity for them to enjoy the therapeutic benefits available. Ideally we are looking for people with core skills and knowledge within the area arts and creative crafts and practical experience gained in delivering these skills to others within a therapeutic/learning or training environment is essential.
The Skye Centre offers a high quality service that is individually focused and consists of a range of therapeutic, recreational, social, vocational, educational and physical health services for patients. You will collaborate with senior nursing staff, Rehabilitation Instructors, and HCSWs as part of the Skye Centre team. The role involves working independently, in partnership with patients and various clinical teams, to develop, maintain, and deliver high-quality care. This will be achieved through the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care processes while ensuring a safe environment.
Experience – Crafts- candidates should have relevant experience or qualification in this area
Candidates will have experience working in a relevant NHS or Third Sector environment and have experience and knowledge of leading groups and motivating patients to participate in chosen activity.
