Band 6 Physiotherapist – Neurotherapy Service – Bedfordshire
An exciting opportunity for a motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Neurotherapy Service in Bedfordshire.
We are recruiting part‑time posts up to 0.8 WTE across our localities. The post can be based in Flitwick covering Mid Bedfordshire locality or Dunstable covering the South Bedfordshire locality. Applicants should be able to work flexibly across both localities when service needs arise. Part‑time staff are expected to be available during the latter part of the week, especially Thursdays and Fridays.
Professional growth is supported with regular supervision, mentorship, a robust in‑service training programme led by experienced senior clinicians, and access to CPD opportunities including specialist neuro courses, service development projects and leadership development.
* Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment in patients' homes and community settings to support safe early discharge and maximise functional independence.
* Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists and Assistant Practitioners to deliver coordinated, goal‑focused rehabilitation.
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized physiotherapy therapy interventions for stroke/neurological patients living in the Bedfordshire community.
* Case‑manage designated patients, contribute to service development, lead projects and often work autonomously across community settings.
Applicants should be either a Band 5 Physiotherapist with solid core skills and passion for neuro or a Band 6 Physiotherapist seeking to expand neurorehabilitation expertise within a friendly, well‑supported community service.
