A highly innovative Design Engineer role focused on driving new product development within electromechanical systems. You'll own the full lifecycle from concept through to production, playing a key role in launching brand-new products to market.

Description
Key responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end NPD projects, from concept generation through to manufacture.
* Design and develop electromechanical products using CAD, supported by FEA.
* Respond to legislative and regulatory changes by driving product updates and redesigns.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and supply chain.
* Support product management activity across new and existing product lines.
* Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture across moulding, fabrication and metal forming processes.
* Contribute to the development of new technologies and product innovation strategies.
Profile
The successful candidate:
* Proven experience driving NPD/NPI projects within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* Strong background in electromechanical product design.
* Experience using CAD, with exposure to simulation tools such as FEA.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes including moulding, fabrication and metal forming.
* Commercially aware, with an understanding of product lifecycle and product management.
* Proactive and motivated, ideally looking for a fresh challenge in a highly innovative environment.
* Suitable for both mid-level engineers and more senior individuals (with potential to support junior hires).
