About Us We are a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) primary provision with two sites in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Larwood School (Stevenage) – a well-established and highly regarded provision. Larwood School (Pulloxhill) – a satellite provision in Bedfordshire. An exciting new development, opening initially at Beech Road, Houghton Regis, before moving to our permanent home in Pulloxhill. Both provisions share the same vision: to provide exceptional education where every child truly matters. The Role As a Learning and Support Assistant (LASA), you’ll play a vital role in our classrooms, supporting both teachers and pupils. Every day will bring new challenges and rewards as you help children to develop their confidence, social skills, and love of learning. Your role could include: Working alongside the teacher to support whole-class learning. Supporting individual pupils with behaviour management and social development (training provided). Bringing your own strengths and interests into the classroom – whether that’s a subject passion, creative skills, or something else that enriches the learning experience. Being part of a class team where your ideas and input are highly valued. This role is all about positivity, patience, and flexibility. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to stay calm when faced with challenging behaviour. What We’re Looking For GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. Experience working with children is an advantage – whether in education, youth work, or another setting. An interest in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
