Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities across Key Stage 2. The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups/whole classes and monitoring pupils; assessing, recording and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development.
Contract and Salary Details
Hours: 25 hours per week, term-time plus 5 training days (195 days)
Grade: 8, scp 25-28, £21,388 - £23,029 per annum (actual salary)
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will:
1. Meet the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards.
2. Have attended training in relevant educational strategies.
3. Set challenging and demanding expectations to promote self-esteem, resilience and independence.
4. Have experience of working with pupils of relevant age in a learning environment and supporting pupils with SEND needs.
5. Assist in the monitoring of pupil’s responses to learning activities, making use of the school’s tracking data, completing accurate records and reports.
6. Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
7. Plan and evaluate learning and assist in the recording of pupils’ progress.

Although this post is based at Bay Primary School, as an employee of the trust, you may be required to work at other schools within the MAT.
