Leasing / Asset Manager – Retail & Outlet Portfolio - Cheshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Leasing / Asset Manager to join a highly successful and growing retail asset management business, who specialise in outlet shopping centres. This role is based in Cheshire.
This independent operator is one of the UK's leading managers of outlet destinations, overseeing a portfolio of prominent schemes across the UK and into Europe. With a strong track record in delivering value for institutional investors and pension funds, the business continues to succeed within the thriving outlet retail sector.
The Role
This is a high-impact position responsible for driving leasing performance across a diverse portfolio of outlet and retail centres predominantly in the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping brand mix, maximising occupancy, increasing rental income, and enhancing overall asset value.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing Strategy & Delivery
* Develop and implement asset-specific leasing strategies to optimise tenant mix and grow turnover-based rental income.
* Proactively identify and secure national, international and independent retailers, as well as F&B operators.
* Collaborate closely with centre management, development, finance and marketing teams to deliver commercial objectives.
Tenant & Brand Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, leasing agents and advisors.
* Negotiate Heads of Terms and undertake commercial analysis to support transactions.
* Manage expansions, renewals (contracted out), relocations, surrenders, exits and pop-ups in collaboration with the property management team.
* Oversee the full leasing lifecycle from marketing and enquiry management through to legal completion.
Asset Planning & Reporting
* Contribute to asset business plans alongside finance and centre management teams.
* Prepare leasing updates and reports for client and board-level review.
About You
* An experienced retail property professional with strong commercial instincts.
* Knowledge of outlet schemes and turnover rents/leases is advantageous.
* Well-connected within the retail property sector.
* A confident negotiator who operates with integrity.
* Equally comfortable collaborating within a close-knit team and working independently across multiple projects.
* Personable, relationship-driven and solutions-focused.
* Strong presentation and communication skills
* Proven experience presenting to clients or senior stakeholders
