Due to expansion our client is looking to add to the Letchworth team with a permanenet Electrical/technical Test and Assembly Engineer. First class benefits and career progression. Purpose of Role: Responsible for the daily preparation, configuration and testing of all power products shipped via the Letchworth build and testing facilities. Working closely alongside the Letchworth warehouse team in the coordination and dispatching of all products shipped. When required provide on-site support to field service engineers. Key Responsibilities: To ensure the accurate preparation, configuration and testing of all power products Modify, assemble and fully test products in line with company/customer requirements. Capture all product failures/errors passing through the build and testing areas. Report upon all errors raised to the relevant department to aid staff training gap analysis. Raise awareness to potentially unusually high failure rates of product. Take the lead in relation to new and/or specialised products passing through the build area. Monitor levels of free issue stock. Liaise with the technical support team should technical issues arises during assembly and/or testing work When needed support Service Engineers with manual handling of products where required and assist Service Engineers with battery builds, replacements and overhauls onsite at client premises. Knowledge and Experience: Must have electrical and electronic principles Ideally be computer literate across various software packages (Sage, Word, Excel, CAD, CRM etc). Ideally have previous electrical engineering and/or technical experience Ideally possess previous experience working on AC and DC systems A good team player and leader Able to work accurately to strict deadlines Self-motivated and ability to work on own Problem solving skills. In return you can expect a starting salary of £32,000 p.a. plus £100-150/month company bouns - 08:30-5 finish at 2 on Fridays ! 26 hols plus bank hols.
