Sheffcare is an independent local charity established in 1994 that cares for older people and people living with dementia in nine residential care homes across Sheffield. We are a values‑driven charity committed to prioritising the wellbeing of those we support above all else. Responsibilities
* Support and assist residents in the care home to live as independently as possible
* Empower people to make their own decisions and choices
* Provide support with personal care (e.g. washing, going to the bathroom, dressing, eating and drinking)
* Offer physical and emotional support to residents
* Help residents participate in daily living tasks and activities
* Encourage engagement of residents in social and wellbeing activities
* Assist with health care and personal appointments
* Only where trained, administer medication
* Undertake manual handling, using equipment when required
* Support positive relationships with residents, their family, colleagues and professionals
* Record care using mobile technology
* Uphold the Sheffcare values
* Implement and uphold safe working practices in line with regulations and our policies and procedures
* Attend regular training where required

Working Hours and Pay
Hours: 22 hours per week or 44 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: 7:00pm to 7:00am x 2 (or 4) nights per week, including weekends (usually alternate) and bank holiday work.
Pay: £12.91 per hour.
