Design & Technology Teacher required from September to work on a full-time basis Well-equipped Secondary School in Portsmouth Excellent DT Teacher to join an innovative and well-supported department We are looking for a qualified Design & Technology Teacher to work within a progressive and inclusive secondary school in Portsmouth. This full-time role begins in September 2025 and includes teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4. The department is open to applications from candidates with specialisms in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering. You will be teaching in a recently refurbished DT suite with access to CAD/CAM equipment, laser cutters, 3D printers, and a dedicated workshop technician. The successful candidate will be passionate about hands-on learning and developing students' technical and creative skills in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment. Experience and Qualifications • A DT-related degree and a teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS) • Experience teaching Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4 • Strong classroom management and planning skills • Ability to inspire practical creativity and innovation in students • Eligible to work in the UK School Information This Portsmouth-based school is well known for its community focus, excellent staff development programme, and high expectations.
