Job Title: WCA Nurse Assessor

We are seeking an experienced Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic to join our team as a WCA Functional Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of health conditions and disabilities, conducting thorough assessments and delivering Work Capability Assessment reports.

Key Responsibilities:
\

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of claimants' health conditions or disabilities and their impact on daily life
\
* Deliver unbiased, evidence-based conclusions for each individual
\
* Prepare cases prior to assessment and gather further evidence as needed
\
* Manage cases to conclusion, including returning all required documentation to the department
\
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives
\
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments
\
* Meet productivity and quality standards, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company
\
* Work flexibly and adaptably, with time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings
\
* Assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments
\

Requirements:
\
\
1. Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic with 1+ years post-qualification experience
\
2. Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions
\
3. Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
\
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
\
5. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
\
6. Flexibility and adaptability, with ability to work varied shifts and overtime as needed
\
7. Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
\

24. Basic salary range £38,500 - £43,450 per year
