Fleet Vehicle Technician Vacancy required in Avonmouth.

2. Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm week one and 12:30pm- 9:00pm week two with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Our client, a global shipping and logistics services provider, is looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician for one of their vehicle fleet workshops in Avonmouth.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working with a close-knit and friendly team, you will be responsible for maintaining our client's fleet of vehicles ranging from light vans to tractor and trailer units and their growing alternative fuel fleet.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
4. Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
5. Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
6. Vehicle inspections.
7. Working on medical equipment and electric/hybrid vehicles. Full training provided.
8. Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
To be eligible you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Avonmouth, be qualified to an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in either light or heavy vehicles, and have a UK driving licence with minimal points (a C1 7.5 tonne licence would be an advantage, though isn’t essential). You will have relevant workshop experience involving all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair as well as having a good understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop setting. Overall, you will be organised and methodical with the capability to work towards a deadline, can work on your initiative, have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and take pride and professionalism in all your work. Any experience with either hybrid or electric vehicles would be beneficial but is non-essential as full training is provided.
