Overseeing efficient, accurate and compliant Excise and Customs duty processes, you will identify and support delivery of Customs facilitation measures and opportunities which deliver profit and working capital benefits for the business. You will be responsible for Leading and developing a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best and fulfill their potential at Tesco. Leading, identifying and developing efficient and accurate Excise & Customs compliant processes within the Tesco Group Identifying tax saving opportunities for the business both from technical understanding and by keeping up to date with Excise and Customs duty legislation Co-ordinating cross-functional and international business units to mitigate the Group's Excise & Customs duty bill Ensuring the team partner with the business to providing timely and relevant advice on Excise and Customs matters relevant to business developments. Managing priorities, ensuring that our processes are evolving to meet business needs Building and developing relationships with Government bodies in order to develop channels for resolving and identifying solutions to Excise and Customs duty related issues Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious LI-LG1 LI-Hybrid You will need Extensive Excise and Customs knowledge Ability to translate complex Tax legislation into easily understood requirements Numerical & Analytical skills Management of Excise & Customs taxes within a large retail or similar environment Working within or with Government bodies What's in it for you We're all about the little helps.
