We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Supply Chain Technician to join our high-performing team. This key role operates at the intersection of critical material management and distribution centre operations, ensuring the seamless flow of goods and information across the supply chain.
Responsibilities
* Order & Inventory Management
o Process and plan customer orders from receipt through to completion and delivery.
o Manage urgent or high-priority orders, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
o Maintain accurate inventory records, perform stock checks, and support replenishment planning.
o Monitor supplier deliveries, track inbound shipments, and flag delays or delivery issues.
o Act as a point of contact for supplier delivery queries and elevate issues appropriately.
* Distribution Centre Operations
o Support the Warehouse Operations Manager in the daily running of the distribution centre.
o Carry out key administrative tasks relating to warehouse, logistics, and inventory operations.
o Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
o Handle and prioritize urgent orders, liaise with stakeholders across the supply chain, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure timely resolution.
* Supplier Delivery Coordination
o Act as a site-based point of contact for supplier delivery issues, escalating concerns to the supply chain team as needed.
o Track inbound shipments, flagging delays or non-compliance with agreed delivery schedules.
* Data & Reporting
o Provide regular updates to the wider supply chain team on inventory performance, stock discrepancies, and delivery statuses.
o Support project activity by providing operational insight and process knowledge.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Liaise daily with supply chain, logistics, customer service, and procurement teams to align on priorities.
o Represent operations in supply chain meetings and support cross-functional improvement projects.
Location & Working Hours
Location – Didcot, Oxfordshire. Working Hours – Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
Qualifications
* Experience in supply chain, inventory management, or warehouse operations within a logistics or distribution environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
* Strong administrative skills with close attention to detail and organizational capability.
* Experience working with ERP or inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Ability to handle urgent orders and resolve problems effectively under pressure.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a warehouse or DC setting.

* Offering between £40,000 and £42,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.
