Due to business growth, we have created a new Senior Accountant position within our Treasury team for a qualified accountant. How you'll make an impact Demonstrate keen attention to detail and take ownership of tasks. Conduct detailed reviews of intercompany movements and relationships, liaising with relevant areas to verify postings and determine settlement requirements. Perform monthly and year-to-date analysis on intercompany movements. Ensure the timely settlement of any cash balances required from intercompany movements. Maintain high standards of integrity when handling confidential and sensitive information. Drive forward change and process improvement to ensure efficiency and develop valuable reporting for senior collaborators. Develop spontaneous reports to back the business and aid in establishing crucial reporting outputs for senior customers.Provide assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests as needed. Build and manage relationships within Glasgow Accounting COE, Global Cash Management, and across other funtional teams. Ensure SOX requirements are fully met. Align with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements, with specific attention to Whistle Blowing and Treating Customers Fairly. Perform tasks in alignment with internal policies, laws, regulations, and Gallagher's values. Ensure your business area aligns with laws, rules, and Gallagher’s values, focusing on client-centricity. About You Qualified Accountant. Technical knowledge (preferable but not necessary). Experience with US GAAP. SOX experience with design/operating efficiency testing. Proficiency in Excel. Experience implementing new processes and/or controls. Ability to prioritise and manage tasks while adhering to challenging deadlines. Understanding of SOX and regulatory/control-based environments is desirable. Flexible attitude to dealing with multiple tasks and environments. Strong organizational and influencing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to change. Exceptionally attentive to detail. Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Eligibility to work in the UK.
