University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Tissue Viability Nurse. The role involves supporting staff and patients with wound management, teaching, and providing high quality care.
Main Duties
* Work as part of the Tissue Viability team to manage all wounds for patients.
* Educate and support staff in wound management techniques.
* Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with skin integrity and wound care needs.
* Develop and maintain an individual caseload of patients, progressing towards independent management.
* Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to practice improvement.
Employment Details
Monday to Friday schedule with flexibility; potential weekend working in the future. Flexible working arrangements are offered where possible.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential Criteria
* Degree qualification, 120 credits at L6, or equivalent assessed evidence of training or experience.
* Significant post registration experience, including within relevant specialty.
* Completion of all Band 5 (preceptorship) competencies.
* Approved course or evidence of experience in supporting learners, supporting colleague learning.
* Extensive post registration experience within a specialist area.
Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge of change management and clinical practice development.
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
