This role has a starting salary of £37,995 per annum for a Newly Qualified Social Worker or £42,238 for a Qualified Social Worker, based on working 36 hours per week.

We are excited to be hiring a Newly Qualified Social Worker or a Qualified Social Worker.

The team work on a hybrid basis, attending the office 2-3 days per week.We are a caring and committed team serving residents living in Epsom and Ewell who find themselves in need of drawing on care and support. We work with residents who are over 65 who may need care and support, as well as those 65 and younger who have physical disabilities,illnessor sensory impairments.

About the Team

The Social Care Teams support those from the age of 18 upwards with eligible care support needs for individuals across community and hospital settings.We provide advice and guidance with a vast range of community resources and support networks. The team strives to safeguard those who require additional support whilst promoting independence and choice.

We are a professional team made up of Social Care and Occupational Therapy Assistants, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists. We are a team committed to learning and development, at both an individual and team level - this is a priority for us.

If you are a newly qualified Social Worker, an ASYE assessor will be identified prior to the start of your ASYE programme. You will be supported by your ASYE assessors and coordinators to gain an understanding of what you need to do to successfully complete your ASYE. For your first year in practice, our established ASYE programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop your Social Work professional identity. Your professional development will be reviewed at regular intervals enabling you to receive feedback about your practice as you progress through the year.

About the Role

You will work in partnership with individuals, their carers, professional staff in other agencies, service providers and Support Brokers to support vulnerable adults and their families. Your role will be pivotal in identifying and arranging services that cater to their needs, fostering independence, choice and control. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping people to fully realise their potential for independence.

You will provide effective support to individuals using a strength-based approach to enable individuals to live as independently as possible with more choice and control. We are looking for professionals who share the same values and ethos as we do. We want Social Workers who believe it is important to promote people's independence and wellbeing through personalised care and support that focuses on their strengths, the outcomes they want to achieve and enables choice and control.

Your Application

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our and :

10. You are currently on course to successfully complete the final year of a Social Work degree, or you have successfully completed a Social Work degree.
11. Experience of working with adults and their families
12. Registered with Social Work England, or you will register with Social Work England upon completion of your Social Work degree.
