Lecturer - Construction (Bricklaying), London (Carshalton)
The School of Technical, Construction and Motor Vehicle at Carshalton College is seeking a qualified and experienced Bricklaying Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, assessment, and tutorial support to students, aiming to maximize achievement and continuous improvement.
You will support curriculum development through employer engagement and learner skills development. Responsibilities include developing, promoting, and sustaining innovative strategies, as well as coordinating practical work, events, and assessments, and advising students on techniques.
Applicants should hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain one), with recent experience teaching Bricklaying in an FE College and working in Construction/Bricklaying. A strong knowledge of current teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance frameworks is essential, along with experience engaging employers in curriculum design and delivery. Proficiency in computer literacy and office software, effective communication skills, and good time management are also required.
The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases based on annual cost of living reviews.
