Quality Inspector
Co. Down | £28,000–£32,000 DOE + Benefits
Our client, a long-established and highly regarded engineering business based in Co. Down, continues to experience strong growth. As a result, they are seeking an additional Quality Inspector to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
2. Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
3. Work closely with production, engineering, and installation teams, providing feedback and supporting the resolution of quality issues.
4. Conduct routine audits on surface preparation, coating processes, and assembly/installation to maintain consistent quality.
5. Maintain accurate inspection records, audit reports, and corrective action documentation.
6. Support the development and implementation of quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Maintain inspection tools and equipment, ensuring all calibrations are current.
8. Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Criteria
9. Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or construction environment.
10. Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment.
11. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
12. Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
13. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and quality documentation.
14. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
15. Experience in paint, shot blasting, or surface preparation processes is highly advantageous.
