Irish-owned neighbourhood café on Abbey Road serving quality breakfast and lunch. Established 18 months with a loyal local following and growing trade.
The Role
Full-time cook/chef position in our small kitchen team. Work closely with the café owner with opportunity to take increasing responsibility as we grow.
Hands-on, collaborative role - not a traditional head chef position. You'll have autonomy over daily service, recipe development, and kitchen operations.
Main service: breakfast and lunch. Occasional evening supper clubs with potential evening service expansion.
Your Responsibilities
Lead daily breakfast and lunch service
Create new recipes and seasonal menu items
Manage food prep, ordering, and suppliers
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
Train and develop kitchen team members
Improve kitchen operations and efficiency
Essential Requirements
Proven kitchen experience in café, restaurant, or hotel environment
Breakfast/lunch service experience preferred
Able to run busy service independently
Strong organisational skills - fast-paced environment
Food hygiene certificate (Level 2 minimum)
Team player comfortable in small kitchen settings
Calm under pressure with attention to detail

35-40 hours per week guaranteed
Day shifts only: 7:30am - 3:30pm (no late nights/split shifts)
