Offer description

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Health Care Assistant to replace someone who is leaving us. The ideal candidate will be clinically experienced, proactive, organised, and able to take initiative. Working in a smaller team means your role will be highly valued and varied. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, help shape the future of our nursing team, and contribute meaningfully to patient care and service development.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting but is equally confident working autonomously, managing priorities, and supporting others in a leadership capacity.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to fill a vacancy with someone eager to make a difference. The role involves promoting practice and supporting our nursing team, as well as delivering phlebotomy and core HCA services. Proven ability and excellent knowledge of the EMIS system and how General Practice operates are essential.

Applicants with some years of experience and the ability to start on the ground running are especially welcome. Responsibilities include:

* ECGs
* Phlebotomy provision
* B12 and other immunisations and vaccinations under PSD
* NHS Health Checks and New Patient Health Checks
* Diabetes foot checks (preferred)

The HCA role is continually growing, supporting a practice with increasingly skilled care. The role also involves looking after equipment, including Spirometry, ECG, and FeNo devices, and coordinating support from suppliers. Flu vaccinations are also part of the role, with some HCAs proficient in administering them.

Additional responsibilities include PAT testing support, calibration support with suppliers, and ensuring all equipment is prepared annually. Confidence in dealing with the public and computer literacy at a skilled level are required. We seek a dynamic, positive, proactive individual who isn't afraid of high workloads. Are you that person?

About us

We are a small but growing practice with a strong ethos of teamwork and fostering a supportive, family-like environment.
