Are you looking for a new challenge or to use your skills in a new and varied environment. This post will give you the opportunity to use the skills of a clinical pharmacist to provide a clinical pharmacy service to our patients. The Band 6 grade is for newly qualified pharmacists, or those new to the hospital environment and requiring supervision. You will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of clinical specialities, learning new skills as you go.
Main duties of the job
We are committed to sharing excellence through our teaching role, are clinically orientated and use IT to enable change. The department is committed to the use of new technology and we use ASCribe/EMIS, Omnicell electronic storage cabinets and ChemoCare and TrakCare electronic prescribing systems. The department also has a state of the art dispensing robot to enable efficient supply of medicines, including out of hours. You will assist in developing quality systems that improve our workflow as we progress with our Medicines Management Programme (using a one-stop concept).
All posts have the opportunity to access significant personal development funding. This may be used for clinical diplomas, further degrees, prescribing, or to top up your existing qualifications. We would encourage research active practitioners.
