We are currently seeking an Operational Accountant to join our finance team, based at our head office on Helen Street, Glasgow.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Managing banks: daily processing across multiple ledgers and currencies (primarily GBP and EUR).
* Reconciling card and cash receipts, supporting site banking processes.
* Coordinating with sites and cash collection companies to ensure timely cash collection and banking.
* Setting up payments for weekly customer refunds and other payments as required.
* Reporting cash outs and petty cash expenses from tills to management, highlighting any anomalies.
* Processing weekly employee expense claims, including receipt collation, approval (from CEO/COO), and payment setup.
* Managing company credit cards.
* Ensuring intercompany reconciliation across all ledgers and companies.
* Processing intercompany recharges, such as payroll.
* Managing the general ledger, including posting transactions like sales, accruals, and prepayment journals.
* Performing month-end reconciliations as required.
* Preparing KPI reports.
* Providing cover for other finance team members during holidays or peak times.
