Overview
An Estates Maintenance Craftsperson Plumber is available within the Estates & Property Services Department. The successful applicant based at Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer will provide both reactive and planned maintenance on a wide variety of plant and equipment across a number of Board Properties.
Responsibilities
* Act as a fully trained and certificated Maintenance Plumber to provide plumbing services to meet the needs of the Estate service provision.
* Install, modify, repair and maintain plumbing equipment and systems within a number of Board properties in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the Organisation.
* Work with reactive and planned maintenance tasks and participate in shift working and the out of hours on-call rota as required.
Qualifications
* Recognised and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship, plus an HNC/ONC/BTEC Building and Engineering Services (Plumbing) or City & Guilds 596 Advanced Craft Certificate in both: Sanitary Plumbing and Installation & Maintenance of Domestic Heating Systems & Appliances or equivalent approved qualification, or in special circumstances equivalent experience and appropriate training to satisfy the necessary academic standards.
