TIG Welders Wanted! - Northamptonshire (NN5)
BE Recruitment are working with a manufacturer in the NN5 area of Northampton, currently looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join their growing team.
Working Hours & Pay
* Monday to Thursday: 19:30 - 06:30
* Pay: £17 - £18 per hour
Key Responsibilities & Skills
* TIG welding with focus on 90% stainless steel and 10% ferrous materials, working with thicknesses ranging from 1.2mm - 3.0mm, with particular emphasis on 1.2mm - 1.5mm.
* Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Experienced in light gauge TIG welding, including back purging techniques.
* Capable of heavy gauge fabrication and completing projects from start to finish.
* Proficient in using tools such as grinders, orbital sanders, and saws.
* Knowledgeable in rolling and forming techniques.
* Accurate measuring with vernier calipers and tape measures to tight tolerances.
* Strong ability to inspect and check own work to ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
* Previous TIG welding and manufacturing experience essential
* Ability to work to targeted production times
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings
* Adhere to company policies and safety procedures
* Experience in MIG welding and sheet metal processes is a plus
Desirable Skills
* Experience in TIG welding departments
* Knowledge of sheet metal/machining processes
