An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 motivated Assistant Pay, Reward and Employment Services Officers to join our CIPP accredited Pay, Reward & Employment Services.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Sharing your working week between modern, renovated office accommodation and home working, you will work within a professional and supportive team covering all elements of the payroll function to ensure our statutory obligations are met in relation to HMRC.
These roles involve undertaking all work associated with the preparation, processing, balancing, costing, and terminating monthly payrolls, ensuring the application of maternity and sickness payments in respect of statutory and occupational payments, and performing cancellation and reworks.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in payroll processing, with knowledge and operational experience of current HMRC regulations and experience of working to tight deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a friendly and supportive team.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You should be qualified to Level 3 qualification e.g. CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate / CIPD or relevant equivalent/or higher qualification with high levels of communication, problem solving and organisational skills.

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
