About the Opportunity
Search are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in Leeds that is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or studying accountant who is looking to build their experience within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the month-end process, producing financial reports, and contributing to the organisation's ongoing financial development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
Helping to deliver the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
Producing financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making
Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Working with internal teams to provide financial insight
Involvement in process improvements and project work
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Part-qualified or currently studying ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Confident Excel user; experience with accounting software is beneficial
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work to deadlines and collaborate effectively
Proactive approach with willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
What Our Client Offers:
Salary £32,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience
Hybrid working model (Leeds-based office)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
