A Lead Electrical Engineer is required for a global engineering business specialising in advanced vacuum and abatement systems for the semiconductor industry. Their technology supports complex manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance.
This is a key role leading a growing team of Electrical Engineers focused on the design and development of complex equipment systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Electrical Engineers
* Manage electrical design for new products and engineering changes
* Take ownership of electrical systems and sub-systems
* Ensure designs meet safety, compliance, cost, and performance targets
* Resolve technical issues across multi-disciplinary teams
* Identify risks and implement mitigation actions
* Drive modular and standardised design approaches
* Oversee verification, validation, and type testing
* Review and approve technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Strong experience in electrical design of industrial equipment or machinery
* Previous team leadership or project coordination experience
* Knowledge of compliance standards such as EN60204, EN/UL61010, EMC, Functional Safety
* Experience with FMEA, HAZOP, and risk assessments
* Semiconductor or complex machinery experience is desirable
* Chartered Engineer or working towards it is desirable
