We are looking for a Bank Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at Her Majesty's Prison (HMP) Fosse Way, a newly opened male prison that opened in May 2023. The role is part of a 15‑person pharmacy team within the healthcare department, providing skills and qualifications to inmates to prepare them for meaningful employment upon release.

Bank hours & rates
* Monday – Sunday
* 07:00‑18:00 (Monday‑Friday)
* 07:30‑18:30 (Weekends)
Hourly rates
* Weekdays: £36.00
* Weekends: £38.00
* Bank holidays: £45.60

Main duties
* Provide expert clinical advice on medicines and poly‑pharmacy.
* Deliver an integrated, safe, legal and high‑quality prison pharmacy service.
* Lead and inspire pharmacy technicians and the wider healthcare team.
* Promote good practice in prescribing decisions and improve medicines management.
* Share information on pharmaceutical products, legislation and health education.
Qualifications (essential)
* GPhC registered Pharmacist.
* Current UK professional registration.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications (desirable)
* Management/leadership experience.
* Procurement and audit experience.
* Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre‑registration training.
* Experience in hospital, community or prison environment.
