Description Costain are working with Anglian Water on their new Reservoirs Programme to support progression of 2 huge new reservoirs through DCO (Govt Approval). We are primarily acting as Anglian Water's Principal Contractor under CDM for the extensive site investigation works and have fantastic opportunities for individuals looking to join our growing delivery team, working predominantly across Sleaford (Lincolnshire), Chatteris (Cambridgeshire) and Peterborough. To provide a full-time site-based SHE presence, directly supporting the Costain site management team in the safe delivery of works and compliance with the SHE Management System and statutory requirements. The role will work alongside operational teams and supply chain partners to ensure SHE standards are effectively implemented and embedded in day-to-day site activities, whilst maintaining an independent and objective view of SHE performance across the contract. LI-KP1 Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide a full-time site-based SHE presence, directly supporting the Costain site management team in the safe delivery of works and compliance with the SHE Management System and statutory requirements. Support and influence Contract Leadership, Clients and other stakeholders to ensure effective SHE performance and visible leadership across the site. Coach and support the Contract Operational Team and Supply Chain partners in the practical implementation of Contract SHE requirements alongside the site management team. Support and, where required, deliver training and briefings to enable the site team to successfully implement the SHE Management System. Actively support the ongoing assessment and management of Anglian Water Supply Chain contractors, ensuring standards are maintained throughout delivery. Engage with and support the Contract SHE Assurance programme, ensuring compliance with company, client and statutory requirements. Support and contribute to the investigation of unplanned events and the close-out of assurance findings, ensuring lessons learned are effectively shared and embedded. Support the timely reporting, analysis and use of SHE data to influence the Contract Leadership Team and contribute to the development and implementation of data-led improvement plans. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience SHE related experience in relevant industry Effective Communications Skills Effective Analytical, Planning, Innovative and Strategic Thinking Assurance and Governance Qualifications Essential Tech. IOSH or AIEMA or equivalent NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH Oil and Gas or IEMA Associate Qualification (Course) or equivalent Full UK Driving Licence Desirable Cert IOSH or AIEMA or equivalent NEBOSH Occupational Safety Diploma or Environmental Diploma or equivalent
