Service Advisor – Automotive
Job Type: Permanent
We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join a busy and growing automotive team. This is a key front-of-house role where you will act as the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle service and repair journey.
Key Responsibilities
1. Booking in service and repair work efficiently
2. Acting as the main liaison between customers and the workshop
3. Keeping customers updated on progress and advising on any additional work required
4. Organising loan vehicles where necessary
5. Processing invoices and handling warranty claims
6. Managing payments in line with company procedures
7. Working towards hours sold targets and maintaining WIP (Work in Progress)
8. Updating customer records using Kerridge and Dialog systems
9. Making follow-up calls and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings
Requirements
10. Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar automotive role preferred
11. Strong communication and customer service skills
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
13. Experience using dealer management systems such as Kerridge and Dialog is advantageous
Working Hours
14. Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm (typically 8:00am start with a 1-hour lunch break)
15. Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm
