Responsibilities:
Inspect CNC-machined aerospace parts (turning and milling) for dimensional accuracy and surface finish
Use a range of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMMs
Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles
Interpret specifications and standards
Carry out First Article Inspections (FAI) in line with AS9102 requirements
Record and report inspection results accurately using internal quality systems
Identify and report non-conformances; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Liaise with machinists, engineers, QA and production staff to resolve quality issues
Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiativesDesirable:
Experience with CMM software (PC-DMIS)
Knowledge of SPC, MSA, and digital inspection systems
Experience of optical measurement systems
Experience of calibration management
Experience of Quality Management Systems & document control

Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality inspection role within a CNC machining or aerospace environment
Strong understanding of turning and milling processes
Proficient in reading technical drawings and using inspection tools
Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace quality standards
Good communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills (Lean/six sigma knowledge preferred)
