Job Description:
Join us, be part of more.
We’re more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers, a team of 21,000 colleagues energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, while living our commitment to positive community impact. Here, you can find purpose, passion, and potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently — we make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
About your team:
At Centrica Energy Storage +, our mission is to store energy.
Our teams aim to boost UK’s energy security and reduce bills. Our North Sea storage facility supplies half of UK’s gas storage, enough to heat 2.4 million homes in winter. We’re transforming it into the world’s largest hydrogen storage facility and creating a Net Zero energy hub in the Humber.
Centrica Energy Storage+ (CES+): operates large-scale natural gas storage and production facilities in East Yorkshire, at Easington and offshore in the North Sea. CES+ has ambitions for energy transition, aiming to create an integrated energy hub supporting UK energy security and regulatory commitments. Join us during this exciting phase.
The Process Engineer will support the Process Engineering Technical Authority in delivering activities for CES+ assets by providing technical support to projects, operations, maintenance, and compliance activities.
Location: Hessle, Hull
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and complete technical work to meet assurance requirements.
* Provide Process Engineering support to assets, involving travel to onshore and offshore sites.
* Support risk assessments and modifications with technical input.
* Guide the Operations & Technical team and Projects team with process engineering expertise.
* Lead process engineering phases in Functional Safety workstreams (HAZOPs, SIL assessments).
* Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Experience & Skills:
* Knowledge of Process and MAH practices and legislation in Oil & Gas or related industries.
* Experience with engineering documentation and standards.
* Desirable: Process/Technical Safety Engineering experience.
Education & Certifications:
* Relevant Chemical/Process Engineering degree.
* Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status.
Benefits include:
* Competitive salary and bonus.
* Employee Energy Allowance (15%).
* Company-funded healthcare.
* 25 days holiday + public holidays + option to buy more.
* Flexible benefits like vouchers, electric car scheme, travel insurance.
