Job Role: Registered Manager Children’s Residential.
Accountable to: Responsible Individual, Senior Leadership Team.
Location: Nottingham
Hours of Employment: Full time 40 hours per week, plus on call duties as required to meet the needs of the organisation. Included within salary are 2 weekday on calls per week (Monday to Thursday) and 1 weekend per calendar month (Friday to Sunday); any additional on call is paid at the prevailing rate.

Job Summary: The Registered Service Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective running of the home, providing leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Ofsted compliance and prepare for inspections.
2. Provide leadership and management to the team.
3. Ensure child-centred care and promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
4. Maintain quality assurance standards and continuous improvement.
5. Foster effective communication and partnerships with external agencies.
6. Manage the home’s financial resources effectively.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Person Specification:
* Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within the first 2 years of employment.
* Significant experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting.
* Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and compliance, or a strong understanding of the inspection process where the manager has not previously undergone an inspection.
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing children's homes.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals.
