Lead Cloud Engineer (London, Hybrid)
We're a VC backed business working on behavioral AI solutions for the retail industry, currently operating in stealth mode. We operate in a zero-legacy environment with a mandate to build a cutting-edge platform for our customers.
Role:
We’re looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer to join our engineering team to help design & build our cloud platform from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone looking for a greenfield opportunity working on cutting-edge solutions.
Essential Qualifications:
* Strong experience designing, building, and supporting infrastructure in cloud environments.
* Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts and patterns, including routing, private connectivity, and security controls best practices.
* Solid experience with container orchestration systems and how to manage workloads at scale.
* Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.
* Comfortable writing automation, configuration, and tooling to simplify operations and reduce manual effort.
* Knowledgeable about observability tools & best practices.
* Ability to collaborate across teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
* Experience with multi-cloud and/or hybrid deployments.
* Knowledge of optimising and managing large-scale data processing frameworks (Eg. Spark, Trino, or similar)
* Experience optimizing cloud costs/spend.
* Experience setting up SRE, self-service, and incident-management processes.
