Work is primarily referral‑based, allowing the team to be selective about the cases they accept.</p><p>Caseloads are managed according to complexity rather than volume, with most fee‑earners handling fewer than 40 live matters. Paralegal and secretarial support is available as required.</p><p>As your caseload develops, you will also assist colleagues on discrete tasks and contribute to the wider success of the team.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Running a caseload of Claimant Clinical Negligence matters</li><li>Managing files from initial instruction through to conclusion and archiving</li><li>Taking client instructions and providing clear, sensitive advice</li><li>Instructing counsel and medical experts</li><li>Advocacy and court representation where appropriate</li><li>Preparing and maintaining file documentation</li><li>Keeping legal knowledge up to date</li><li>Contributing to business development activities</li></ul><h3>Candidate Profile</h3><ul><li>2‑6 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in Claimant Clinical Negligence</li><li>Experience running a claimant caseload (exclusively or predominantly)</li><li>Excellent client‑care and communication skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines</li><li>Technically competent, commercially aware and quality‑driven</li><li>Able to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team</li></ul></div>
