About the Team:
The Early Help Monitoring (EHM) Team within the Children and Families Service supports the systems and processes that underpin the delivery of Early Help support for families across Warwickshire. The team is responsible for ensuring that Early Help support is initiated and progressed to timescales, and processes are being followed correctly by both our internal colleagues and our external partners across our Early Help Network. The EHM team also provides a primary point of contact for all Early Help professionals to offer advice, guidance and support on our Early Help Processes.
The EHM team also supports the data requirements of the national Supporting Families Programme. The aim of this programme is to support families across a wide range of issues across 10 headline indicators (Education; Early Years Development; Mental & Physical Health; Substance & Alcohol Misuse; Family Relationships; Child Abuse & Exploitation; Crime; Domestic Abuse; Housing; Financial Stability). The team monitors and tracks families being supported through Early Help or Social Care, to evidence their progress and outcomes in relation to these matters. This requires identifying families that meet the programme criteria; collating and manipulating data from a range of sources to measure progress; monitoring and tracking support plans; and providing evidence of successful outcomes to claim Payment by Results funding. This includes working in Mosaic – the Social Care and Early Help electronic case management system; extracting and summarising information and data from assessments and forms; monitoring the progress of families; liaising with professionals to obtain family progress evidence in a timely manner; coding triage information on families to deliver evidence on the impact of Early Help services; gathering evidence for the Payment by Results process; and supporting the required statutory data returns to government.
