Hays Senior Finance is supporting a global renewables business with their search for a project focused Financial Controller to join their team. This is a newly created permanent role that plays an instrumental part in the continued growth and development of an offshore wind development operation and offers the right candidate broad exposure across business and a varied role. Your new role
1. Supporting internal stakeholders with regional reporting and forecasting, budget estimates for new projects and other ad hoc support,
2. Supporting contract negotiations by providing controlling input into the contract drafting,
3. Managing project budgets and overhead costs,
4. Preparing monthly reporting for specific projects and department,
5. Developing processes with a continuous improvement mindset,
6. Produce KPIs and progress reports for review by senior stakeholders,
7. Ensure internal controls are adequately applied,
8. Reviewing costs with the projects to ensure forecasts are accurate and risks and opportunities are captured and managed,
9. Support external reporting to joint venture partners including cash management for partner drawdowns.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Formal accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA),
11. Experience working in a project environment on finance topics,
12. Experience working with SAP4Hana or other ERP systems,
13. Excellent Microsoft Excel capabilities,
14. Knowledge of large development / construction projects or renewables market structures.
