The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong construction or utilities background to join our growing Energy team. This is a permanent role within a future-focused sector, offering strong opportunities for professional development and career progression. You’ll be involved in innovative energy projects that help shape industry standards, working in an environment that actively encourages fresh ideas and original thinking. Here are some of the activities that you'll get involved in Liaise with the Project Teams to ensure robust quality plans are in place and are approved by the Client’s Project Manager before contract finalisation. Conduct a minimum of 8 quality audits per month, with a stretch target of 14, depending on the number of live projects. Be responsible for raising Nonconformances during audits, including arranging and chairing meetings for closure or necessary escalation. Ensure timely circulation of Nonconformance Close Outs & Lessons Learned to the Project Teams. Regularly reviewing Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Assurance Check Sheets, and Quality Plans. Liaise with the Project teams in the maintenance of Defect Registers for each project, managing the issue of defects and any related follow-up. Own and drive quality management processes, ensuring standards are consistently met. We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate… extensive quality assurance experience within the construction or utilities sector, operating in roles comparable to a Quality Inspector or Quality Assurance Engineer. You will have a strong understanding of quality planning, assurance, and control, excellent organisational skills to manage multiple audits and updates concurrently, and outstanding communication skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders. You’ll also bring the confidence to lead, innovate, and drive continuous improvement across quality processes. Given the nature of our projects, candidates with experience of Quality Assurance and the principles of Site Management/Health & Safety will be well positioned to succeed in this role.
