Position: Manufacturing Estimator

Salary: £40,000 per year
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Estimator for our client. This role involves working closely with customer drawings, specifications and quotations to support the costing and pricing of manufactured components. Full training on internal systems and processes will be provided.
Candidates with engineering, manufacturing, estimating or technical administration experience will be highly desirable.
Your Role as a Manufacturing Estimator
1. Reviewing customer quotation requests and checking all required information is provided
2. Working from engineering drawings and specifications to help calculate costs
3. Preparing quotations using internal pricing systems
4. Communicating with suppliers to obtain prices when needed
5. Updating costings based on supplier responses or revised drawings
6. Recording all quotations accurately on internal logs
7. Checking customer orders against original quotes and raising any discrepancies
8. Handling order amendments or cancellations and updating pricing where required
9. Supporting customer price reviews when costs change
10. Assisting other departments during quieter periods
11. Ensuring tools and customer‑specific equipment are recorded, quoted and updated correctly
Requirements
12. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, estimating or technical admin desirable
13. Ability to read or learn to interpret technical drawings
14. Strong attention to detail
15. Confident using computer systems
16. Good communication skills for customer and supplier interaction
17. Organised, reliable, and able to follow structured processes
18. Willing to learn and adapt to changing workloads

20. 08:00 – 16:00
