<div><h3><b>Associate - CILL – Birmingham or Manchester</b></h3><p>Our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team covers every aspect of a claim, including liability investigations, policy coverage assessments and quantum assessments for large‑track claims. The Associate will assist on a variety of large‑loss work, including motor, EL/PL and indemnity cases, working from either Manchester or Birmingham and supporting the team in London. The role offers significant career development opportunities and the chance to build client relationships and eventually lead lower‑value large‑loss cases.</p><h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li>Act on behalf of insurance companies and self‑insured commercial organisations.</li><li>Assist on a varied caseload of personal injury motor, EL/PL and indemnity large‑loss cases.</li><li>Carry out investigations with live defenders, take witness statements, review and interpret medical records and reports.</li><li>Identify information requirements and secure required documentation from claimant representatives.</li><li>Adhere to reporting and reserving requirements for different client SLAs.</li><li>Manage file documents including initial reports, updates and correspondence.</li><li>Attend and appear at court and pre‑trial meetings, adhering to court timetables.</li><li>Support senior lawyers in servicing existing clients, growing new business and maintaining client relationships through technical excellence and innovation.</li><li>Draft all legal documents and client advice.</li><li>Handle interlocutory proceedings, CMCs and client meetings.</li><li>Support marketing and business development activity with the team and the wider Clyde & Co casualty group.</li></ul><h3><b>Essential Skills and Experience</b></h3><ul><li>Highly determined and adaptable within a demanding, fast‑paced team.</li><li>Experience of personal injury litigation.</li><li>Enjoyment of being challenged by complex legal issues and expanding knowledge.</li><li>Focused on delivering a highly professional service to clients, including compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements.</li></ul><h3><b>Equal Opportunities</b></h3><p>Clyde & Co is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
