As a trainee EMHP, you will be expected to work under supervision as part of a well‑established, dynamic mental health and wellbeing team in a creative and supportive environment. You will be delivering evidence‑based interventions and Whole School Approach to specific identified schools. Your new ideas around how we work creatively while supporting children, young people and their families is actively encouraged. During your training year, the post holder will, under well‑structured supervision, develop knowledge and practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – based skills to employ a range of evidence‑based interventions for common mental health problems through direct and group support for children, young people and their parents/carers in line with university expectations. You will work at undergraduate diploma level and be educated to A Level standard or equivalent. Do you have the confidence to deliver workshops in schools and education settings? Are you able to study for an undergraduate or post‑graduate diploma? RISE are excited to be expanding our successful Mental Health in Schools Team offer. We are recruiting eight Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) across Coventry and Warwickshire. You will complete a 12‑month undergraduate or post‑graduate diploma in Education Mental Health Practitioner at the University of Northampton. Once you have successfully completed your studies, qualify as an EMHP, and register with an appropriate governing body e.g. BABCP or BPS, this role will move to a substantive Band 5 position as an EMHP within RISE.
