About the Role

1. Managing incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence;
2. Extracting information from clinical documents that require coding;
3. Arranging appointments, referrals, tests and follow-up appointments;
4. Completing basic (non-opinion) forms, and core elements of some forms, for the GP to approve and sign. These might include insurance, mortgage and benefits agency forms, for example;
5. Improving patient flow;
6. Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP;
7. Assisting with practice tasks;
8. Helping the GP liaise with outside agencies arranging admission;
9. Supporting the prescription clerk team.
