About the role
Booker Group is the UK's leading wholesaler is recruiting for a Delivery Planning Assistant to work within our busy head office based in Wellingborough.
With a mix of office and home working within our contact centre, the main purpose of your role will be:
8. Responsible for the scheduling of customers deliveries
9. Planning deliveries whilst being able to multitask and assist other team members where required
10. Ensure your daily tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
11. Complete all mandatory training within timeframes given
The delivery team works 7 days a week, you will work 38 hours per week over 5 days. The working hours for this role will be between 3pm - 12am.
Main Responsibilities
12. Successfully planning and managing Branch Customer Schedules
13. Onboarding and maintaining customers delivery requirements
14. Implementing company policy and procedure changes
15. Successfully landing company system changes positively
16. Work with the Delivery Planning Supervisors to find continual improvement
17. Key KPI’s, including delivery on-time
18. Liaising with BC teams and other colleagues
19. Support a culture which recognises the right behaviours and makes Booker ‘A Place to Get On’.
You will need
20. Planning experience is not essential as full training will be provided
21. Positive in nature, and driven to exceed expectations
22. Continuous improvement outlook
23. Excellent communication skills to be able to provide timely updates, highlighting barriers to success
24. Be a good team player with a flexible working attitude
