Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
* Support clients with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their physical and emotional health.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Assist clients to appointments or community activities when required.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
* Housekeeping and maintaining health and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
* Experience in care is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of home care practices is an asset.
* Previous experience in care is beneficial.
* Proficient in first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
