An inclusive and friendly primary school in the NN3 area is seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional learning needs, starting 2nd September 2025.
Role Overview:
You will be working on a 1:1 basis, providing targeted support for a child within the classroom to help them access learning, build confidence, and make progress in line with their individual learning plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering individualised support in line with the class teacher’s guidance
* Adapting classroom activities to meet the pupil’s needs
* Supporting learning, social development, and emotional regulation
* Liaising with the class teacher, SENDCo, and parents/carers
* Contributing to observations, tracking progress, and attending relevant meetings
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a 1:1 capacity
* Good understanding of the primary curriculum
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, positive and flexible approach
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential
