Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Support Technician/Technical Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organisation. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in various IT support tools and platforms. The IT Support Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining system reliability and delivering a positive user experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
* Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other IT systems.
* Assist with the setup and support of software applications and operating systems (Windows/macOS).
* Document and track support requests using IT service management (ITSM) tools.
* Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
* Ensure security protocols are followed and assist with basic cybersecurity measures.
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes by setting up or reclaiming IT equipment.
* Provide basic training to users on IT systems and best practices.
* Maintain inventory of IT assets and supplies.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and common business software.
* Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
* Experience with remote support tools and ITSM platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
