Teaching Assistant SEND/ Learning Support Assistant Location: Atherton Contract: Full time and temporary with position Premier Education are currently working in partnership with a number of primary specialist schools in the Atherton/Leigh area who are looking for experienced Learning Support Assistants to join them on a supply basis. Flexibility will be required to work across different year groups and take on SEN responsibilities for children with mild to complex special education needs. Due to the nature of the role, all Learning Support Assistants must have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one. Candidates must also be flexible and committed - advanced bookings and early morning calls from Premier Education are possible. Responsibilities · Supporting a specific year group / phase depending on your experience and school requirements · Responsible for delivering engaging interventions · Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development · Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure pupil progress · Supporting children with mild to complex speciali education needs Requirements · Have experience working with children and young people who have SEN · Be sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of children with SEN · Have passion and interest in gaining or developing experience in primary education · Be comfortable supporting young people with all aspects of their education · Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references to cover the last 2 years employment history · Hold relevant training or qualifications related to working in schools / SEND provisions.
